COVID has impacted many individuals, but don’t let COVID stop you from taking care of yourself.

  1. Create a Routine.

Creating a routine, even if you are working at home is beneficial. Set an alarm in the morning to start your day.

  1. Eat a Good Breakfast

Don’t skip breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. Wake up, and eat a nutritious meal to fuel your brain for a long work or school day.

  1. Workout

Whether you are working from home or in person, incorporate some time to workout. Go on a 20 minute walk with your dog, a friend, a family member, or hit an at home gym workout. Studies say it is beneficial to workout 30 minutes a day. Find the time to get your endorphins going!

  1. Read

Have some down time? Pick up a nice book and read. You deserve some time away from the screens and to dive into a book you have been dying to read.

  1. Call a Friend.

Haven’t seen a friend since quarantine? Take the time to reach out to a friend and call them.

  1. Practice Self-Care

Whether your self care is watching TV, reading, treating yourself to a nice spa day, take the time to focus on yourself and not to stress.

  1. Bake

Feeling something sweet? Try baking a new recipe! Or even making a nice batch of chocolate chip cookies sound good too!

  1. Sleep

Make sure you are getting plenty of sleep throughout the day. Lack of sleep can cause mood swings, and make you feel irritable. Getting at least eight hours of sleep is beneficial for the human body to function.

  1. Try a New Activity

Want to make a goal to run a mile? Walk the fastest mile? Try a new goal and challenge yourself.

  1. Meditate

The past year has been weird and not normal for everyone. Do these few tips, and take some time out of your day to relax and meditate. Trust me, things will be back to normal soon.
